First presentation of the Histolog Scanner at DDG 2017

The Histolog Scanner has been presented during a poster session at the yearly congress of the German Society of Dermatology (Deutsche Dermatologische Gesellschaft).

The poster was presented by Nina Peters, cand.med. from Tübingen University in Germany – under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Med. Matthias Möhrle. Tübingen University is one of the pioneer and leading center specialized in the treatment and in the research of skin diseases. The poster features the results obtained following a clinical study on 149 skin cancer specimens (basal cell carcinoma) comparing Histolog Scanner images with pathological gold standard (H&E).

The promising results concluded there was a 100% agreement with H&E slides in small specimens. In addition, and according to the authors the Histolog Scanner:

• is easy to use

• provide fast results

• is a very accurate method for the diagnosis of tumor tissue.
